Diamond Light Source first used Aurora for its training services in ionising and non-ionising radiation, since then we have gone on to use many other services, including; compliance auditing, Monte Carlo shielding calculations and High Resolution Gamma Spectrometry analysis of waste. As well as these ‘one off’ projects Aurora also provide RWA and DGSA services for our new Active Materials Laboratory and assisted in our successful application to the Environment Agency for our Environmental Permit. I would recommend Aurora to anyone who needs radiation protection advice or services.

We have worked with Aurora on several projects and have always found them responsive, helpful, flexible and understanding of the needs of a particular project.

I am very grateful to Aurora for their professional support and advice. Their team advised us on all radiological aspects for the project. Before the project started, they conducted a radiological survey, prepared risk assessments and method statements and supported our contractors by providing training and guidance on regulatory requirements. The subsequent engineering works were carried out safely and successfully, with no significant contamination events. The work was completed on time and the impact on surrounding areas was minimised. Aurora also assisted with sentencing and disposal of radioactive waste from the project. Well done!
