Testimonials
Lorraine Dixon CMIOSH
Health and Safety Adviser • Gateshead Council
The Ionising and Non-Ionising Radiation Training by Aurora was an excellent course and I would recommend attending it. The course was well paced and was structured to include participants of all levels. There were plenty of opportunities to network, which is a bonus when you are new to this area.
Those presenting were able to clearly explain legislative requirements and I acquired a lot of new knowledge, particularly about lasers and electromagnetic fields.

Aurora were contracted to perform Shielding Integrity Testing for a new facility at Magnox Winfrith. Throughout the process Aurora showcased expert technical advice combined with a pragmatic practical approach. On numerous occasions Aurora demonstrated a positive attitude, problem solving with ease and adapting and improving upon the original concept. Aurora’s radiation protection expertise helped ensure the testing was successfully completed with high standards of safety observed, working seamlessly with Magnox staff and arrangements. I would have no hesitation in engaging Aurora for further work or recommending their services to others.

I have used Aurora Health Physics Services for the decommissioning of a radioactive lab. It was not an easy project to deal with but Aurora provided amazing support as our RPA starting from the preparation for meetings with the Environment Agency to the filing of the surrender application.
Aurora has been extremely professional and efficient and delivered the work according to the schedule. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and the services of their highly competent team to any organization.

We approached Aurora after radon monitoring had shown the presence of significant concentrations of radon gas at some of our premises.
Aurora met with us and talked us through our legal obligations to ensure compliance and to protect our employees, vistors, etc. from radon gas. They also drafted risk assessments for us to adopt and attended site to undertake active radon monitoring to confirm that temporary measures could be used to reduce radon levels until our mitigation contractor had installed the required ventilation systems. This allowed us to continue working while ensuring a safe environment.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Aurora for any organisation dealing with issues relating to radon gas.
